Apparently, March is the month of sharing the love here on the Moon Star Adri blog! Here are five amazing bloggers that should be on your radar. Candice DeVille is an Australian fashion, beauty and lifestyle blogger (and mom) with a great sense of styling, particularly when it comes to mid-20th century fashion. She has a very in-depth knowledge of historical fashion, hair and makeup, and manages to integrate them into modern day life without looking "fake." One of my favorite things about Candice is how she inserts something special, and even glamorous, into even the simplest moments (like playing with puppies!) She began her blog in 2008 and I've been reading it almost as long - I find her approach to beauty truly inspiring! I have a thing with home decor. I love it, I dream about it, I obsess over it, and I spend too much time on Pinterest with it. Nita Stacy's blog, Mod Vintage Life, feeds my interior design addiction (just look at the candle filled hearth!). One of my favorite features of Nita's blog are her Mod Mix Mondays, in which she rounds up decor inspirations, diy upgrades, and beautiful furniture from around the blogosphere into one convenient place. This piece, from a couple of weeks ago, is one of my favorites. I'm pretty certain Gretchen Hirsch, aka "Gertie", is my twin separated at birth. If not, I wish she was (along with Kari Byron, Mary Kate Wiles, and Felicia Day). As some of you know, when I'm not creating jewelry or doing my #bosswitch thing, I love to sew. Specifically, I love to sew vintage-inspired garments - anything from an Edwardian corset to a 1950s circle skirt. Gertie blogs on sewing mid-20th century designs, has published a few books on sewing (which I own and have made garments from), and also works with Butterick for a line of retro-inspired patterns, Patterns by Gertie. Mostly, I love her blog because she is sassy and fun, while imparting great sewing advice. What's not to love about The Beauty Department? They have great tutorials on hair, makeup, and nails, wonderful inspiration boards on Pinterest, and update their content constantly! Look at this amazing hair tutorial! Okay, so technically, this is not a "blog," but I'm including it anyway. Marie TV is a YouTube channel run by Marie Forleo, a dynamo business coach. I love her real, humorous, down-to-earth style of answering people's questions and inspiring action in others. She tackles questions that pertain to business, but frames then in a meaningful way that can apply to life in general. She also has great hair.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens... Oh, sorry. I got distracted there. Today, I thought I'd share (in no particular order) ten of my favorite products that I use and love. For the record, I am not getting any type of compensation for promoting these products, I just really like them. 1. The Morning Bliss CardiganSo, I have a not-so-small obsession with cardigans, particularly those of the shawl, open-front, and cocoon persuasions. I can't get enough of them. We have a joke in my house that these are my "hobo sweaters" because I will wear them until they are literally coming apart at the seams. I adore this sweater from Ruche - it's a great length and the open pattern is surprisingly warm. The color is cozy, and it has pockets! Can a sweater get better than this? I think not. 2. Live Inspired JournalI bought this journal during a trip to Ann Arbor at a delightfully eccentric store in Kerrytown, Found. I am an obsessive list-maker and note-taker, and I had spent much of that trip thinking about what I wanted to accomplish in my business for 2015. As soon as I saw this journal, I knew it was perfect for me. 3. NYX Cosmetics Roll On Eye ShimmerOn an impulse, I grabbed this little bottle of roll on eye shimmer this week and am loving it! I purchased the "Nude" color - it is very subtle and reminds me a little bit of Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer in "Sin." At under $4, it's a great buy! 4. Sharpie PensI do a lot of writing, but I have a difficult time finding a pen I really like (also, I lose them all the time). I love these Sharpie pens - they come in such pretty colors, they write so smoothly, and they don't bleed through the page! Now, I just have to remember where I put mine... 5. Old Navy Smoking FlatsI'm a big fan of flats, particularly for chasing after kids. I think the elongated vamp and toe of these make the legs look nice and long, and I love the casual menswear-vibe they have. 6. Make Up Forever Lip LinerThis is quite possibly the best lipliner on the planet. Seriously. I have it in True Red, and not only does it really have great staying power, it also looks great on its own for a very vintage matte look. 7. Fetch Eyewear GlassesI've worn glasses since I was 6. I've had some awesome glasses, some terrible glasses, and some in between. I love my glasses from Fetch Eyewear. You can select five pairs at a time for at-home try on, and they come with a lifetime warranty. Also, if you have terrible vision, like me, it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to buy them - I was able to get the high index lenses and frames for under $200. 8. The Lavender Whim's Greeting CardsI first met Jill-Ann, the creative force behind The Lavender Whim, at a craft show where we were both vending. Her greeting cards are fresh and beautiful, and in a world of quick, digital communication, greeting cards really stand out as a way of saying "I care." 9. The Dream Big PlannerI bought my Dream Big Planner from The Dream Job Shop last November to assist in my 2015 goal setting and strategizing. I'm a huge fan of The Dream Job Shop, and this planner definitely delivers! It has sections on everything from tracking your website stats to planning for upcoming expenses, plus weekly and daily planning pages to help stay organized. 10. L'Oreal Paris Multi-Restorative Dry OilI've had my hair pretty much every color of the rainbow, and I've had my fair share of hair damage due to bleaching and dyeing. I started using this Multi-Restorative Dry Oil by L'Oreal Paris a few months ago. I spray it on the ends of my hair when I get out of the shower, and i have noticed that my hair feels much healthier and softer. I hope you enjoyed reading about a few of my favorite things! I plan to do another post in the future on some of my favorite service-based businesses.
